Airbrake MX Goggles
Rather than looking to the past and creating an MX Goggle which is the same as everything ever done before, Oakley went back to the drawing board and created what is clearly the greatest innovation in Motocross since the invention of the Motorbike! From now on, this is the standard that other companies must reach, but thanks to over 600 patents protecting Oakley technology, I don’t think they will be able to keep up.
The Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles are the first to feature Oakley’s patented Plutonite Lens – the most optically pure lens material ever used in MX Goggles. Plutonite is impact tested to the same level as industrial strength eyewear and will ensure that your eyes are kept safe and sound at all times. Thanks to their Switchlock Technology, Oakley have made MX Goggles truly customisable and means that MX riders can be ready for whatever mother nature throws at them! Switchlock makes lens changes easy and hassle free – no more fumbling around to swap out a lens.
Ordinary MX lenses are stamped out of a flat sheet of polycarbonate and are then bent to fit into a frame – not Plutonite lenses. Safety and performance demand true, accurate vision, so Oakley injection-mould their lenses under extreme pressure to achieve a precise optical geometry. That means you see more detail, and you can believe what your eyes are telling you. It’s the ultimate in clarity and optical fidelity.
Not just a practical tool, the Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles are comfortable too; it features an exoskeleton frame with O Matter blended seamlessly into it making them lightweight and durable. The rigid outer frame holds the lens securely and a flexible faceplate with a thick foam later conforms to your face so that it feels like it was made just for you.
