Phillipe Starck states that when designing his Starck prescription glasses collection he took into consideration all the different people who will wear them and how they will fit them. Concentrating on small details and adjustments, Starck stays true to a belief he shared with Steve Jobs that ‘there is magic in the details.’ Starck prescription glasses collection features a vast amount of styles that are designed exclusively in a material named Gravity, a 100% recyclable high-tech polymer that is used in industries such as aeronautical due to its ultra-lightweight yet equally as strong replacement for steel and resistance to high temperatures. Phillipe Starck gets inspiration for Starck prescription glasses from his father who is a famous airplane engineer, stating that he had an advantage growing up in the idea of real invention. In 1996, Alain Mikli, a designer known for his technical expertise, founded Starck eyes and since together the pair have made the world’s most advanced, durable and elegant frames. Starck prescription glasses are described as ‘timelessly timeless’ being one of the world’s only eyewear brands that does not rely on a logo to sell. Starck glasses are discreet and identified by their high tech design, with 360-degree multidirectional hinges called Biolink, Starck glasses are notable for their features and ability. Starck glasses as a brand have grown organically appealing to those who appreciate a brand based on intelligence and purpose whilst admiring glasses that are both sophisticated and timeless.
