Zodiac watches were born in 1882 in Le Locle, Switzerland and was founded by Ariste Calame who was the son of a watchmaker. Calame aimed to create the most innovative timepieces the world has seen and the combination of his ambition, hard work and skill led him to design and make his first pocket watch. It was from this moment that the Zodiac Empire was born. Aimed at those with a true sense of adventure, Zodiac watches are geared towards people who like to live life spontaneously and on the edge. With sports a primary sports function there are many different models according to the activity. There are a pilot watches, sea and surf watches, automatic watches and even scuba diving timepieces all designed to serve full function and durability as well as looking great. Despite being an age old company the modern Zodiac watches of today reflect high style in bold colours and made with high-quality sapphire and mineral crystals, and incorporate accurate Swiss quartz movements. The year 2000 also signified a new beginning for Zodiac watches when the company was purchased by the iconic brand Fossil and the collaboration of design skill and modern design concept has certainly raised the overall profile of this great range of watches.
