In the 1940’s, Pierre Balmain altered fashion history. The young designer, taking an audacious gamble on the promise of post-Liberation new beginnings, established his namesake fashion house on one of Paris’ most remarkable streets: at 44 rue François Premier, located in the heart of the legendary “Golden Triangle” luxury neighbourhood. The impressive Haussmannian lines of Balmain’s storied flagship have inspired the silhouette of this grand navigator style, which is set apart by its distinctive double-bar nose bridge.
