The Ray-Ban RB4226 Wayfarer sunglasses collection boasts an assortment of refined coloured frames ranging from matte black to shiny Havana paired with a range of dark green or brown lenses extending to graduated grey. The design has been around for almost 60 years yet has remained popular for much of this period. Although the Wayfarer was originally targeted towards men the trend soon caught on and saw Hollywood women such as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn sporting the look inevitably boosting the popularity of the sunglasses. The Wayfarer style has appeared in over 60 movies and television programs including Breakfast at Tiffany’s followed by the film Risky Business which saw actor Tom Cruise kick starting the Wayfarer phenomenon. In the 80s Ray-Ban Wayfarers were seen on everyone from Madonna and Michael Jackson to Anna Wintour. After a quiet period 2007 saw the reintroduction of the Ray-Ban Wayfarer and were soon present every time you opened a fashion magazine. The trend has continued to grow with celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Jude Law seen sporting the Wayfarer style.
