The Skagen company was founded In 1987 by Henrik and Charlotte Jorst, who came from Denmark to the United States to pursue a lifelong ambition of owning and running their own watch, jewellery and accessories business.

The Skagen brand takes its inspiration from a fishing village in Scandinavia of the same name. The village is renowned for its exquisite and breathtaking scenery, which has often being captured by a number of artists and photographers. The stunning landscape and nature of village is the prominent influence upon which the Skagen jewllery collection is built upon.

The duo wanted to create an accessories brand featuring watches, jewellery, sunglasses and pens that boasted beautifully crafted and incredibly high-quality finishes, and which consumers could purchase at accessible prices.

The collection of Skagen jewellery has been designed specifically for women and is a fusion of Henrik and Charlotte’s creative Danish spirit entwined with demure and feminine designs, expert craftsmanship and technically perfect finishes.
