Marc Jacobs Sunglasses

The iconic designer Marc Jacobs was born in New York in 1963 and from a very young age, he discovered a skill and passion for art and design. In 1981 Jacobs enrolled in the Parson's School of Design and whilst he was studying here he also designed and sold his first collection of hand-knitted jumpers which was designed for Ruben Thomas, Inc. In 1986 Jacobs designed his first collection using his own name and thus the Marc Jacobs brand was born. Marc Jacobs is now regarded as one of the hottest designers of this era and his collections are constantly emulated on the High Street. The range of Marc Jacobs sunglasses are incredibly popular and comprise of a range of styles including aviators, glamorous sports styles and oversized sunglasses. Marc Jacobs is a brand that is synonymous with glamour and therefore all of the sunglasses made by the designer portray that and take inspiration from retro styles but with contemporary twists unique to the Marc Jacobs label. In the recent collection colour and pattern are strong features with many of the oversized sunglasses for example incorporating vibrant colours such as blue, violet and red as well as patterns such as brown tortoiseshell. The Marc Jacobs sunglasses range is super stylish and the great variety of styles and colours means that there is something to suit every face shape, skin tone and style preference. Many of the frames also experiment with unique shapes with many of the oversized sunglasses incorporate square shaped lenses, round lenses and sporty visor/shield styles.
