Watches Style Update – Summer 2010

Whilst watches have always been an accessory that most of us wear on a daily basis for both fashion and functional purposes, the past year has seen the watch rise even further through the accessory ranks with various styles of watches often being featured on celebrities and the style pages as the prominent and key must-have item of the moment. Here are Shade Station our collection of brands and watch designs are continually growing and this summer, we have more options available than you ever thought imaginable. For 2010, the major key watch look is all about vibrant colour, texture, and pattern with many brands integrating this into their watch collection, but in their own unique style.

First up, sports brand Adidas is constantly impressing us with their array of sporty but distinctively trend inspired Adidas watches including the new triple coloured Seoul watches, the highly retro Taipei watches and of course, the ever popular Oddity Candy watches. Fusing all the functional elements of a sports watch including lap timers, alarms, lights and date displays with highly stylish looks that incorporate bold and vivid colours, in addition to highly on-trend pastel tones, Adidas is still a core brand that is affordable and accessible to everyone but with superb effect.

BCBG is one of the new brand additions to Shade Station and the collection of BCBG watches are certainly guaranteed to impress every glamazon! Experimenting with shape, definition and texture, these ladies watches combine style appeal drawn from France, Europe and America and are geared towards the modern woman who likes to keep in line with the ever evolving nature of fashion. D&G is a key brand that always remains prominent in the fashion industry and with typical watch elements such as logo emblazoned straps and dials, the use of diamante stones and unique aesthetics, D&G always has something to offer every style preference.

Diesel watches are further favourite brand with a selection of striking colour inspired designs, all boasting superb and innovative functions. DKNY also has a choice of stunning new watches that perfectly convey the essence of summer with the ultra glamorous and fashionable gold and white toned NY4913 watch, the gold NY4876 watch and the jewellery inspired NY4873 DKNY watches.

If you are seeking a watch that incorporates intrinsic attention to fine detail, striking looks and a creative amalgamation of colour and pattern, Ed Hardy watches could be for you. LTD watches hit the style scene with a bang in 2009 with the brand rapidly growing in popularity throughout 2010. The new colourful and bold Maximo watches are the most recent additions and are indeed as the brand name suggests, strictly limited to 150 watches per design. Favoured by the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Jameela Jamil and The Saturdays, make sure you get yours quick before they go!

Marc Ecko watches include a selection of wonderfully bold and bling inspired styles for summer 2010 with highly detailed and artistic dials and elegant, chic and statement finishes. The watches within the Michael Kors collection are one of the most refined, elegant and unique in the industry. For 2010, Kors has integrated his love of soft, autumnal tones and colours such as cream, brown, gold and bronze with trend inspired elements including polycarbonate straps and diamante embellished detailing.
