A Quest To Find A Master…..Again
Here we go again; the most prestigious title in golf is up for grabs to some of the best pro’s in the world including a few rookies who may surprise.
Last years winner and now Oakley Sunglasses ambassador Bubba Watson still feels he can defend his title with being one of the most powerful players in the game to date. Bubba, aged 34 from Bagdad, Florida won his first Major title almost a year ago to the day beating friend and enemy Louis Oosthuizen in a sudden death play off. He made an impossible shot on the 10th hole during the play off which secured him this prestigious title. Could he do it again? The 1.4 million dollar winnings will surely tempt him.
Tiger Woods has answered his critics as of late smashing his was back up the world ranking leader board this year. Woods has won six times on his last twenty PGA tour appearances and has been confirmed prior to the Masters as the world number one. Tipped by the bookmakers as favourite, this year you really have to…. watch this space, he also looks good in green.

Tiger Woods was also in the news this week talking to the press about the new protégé from China; Guan Tianlang. Guan will rob Woods of being the youngest person to appear in a major at just the tender age of 14. Woods has admitted he was frightened at first and believes the young man from China has great potential for Major wins in the future. Remember Guan was not even born when Tiger Woods won his first Major at the Master’s 1997. Woods since then has held the title of first black player to win the masters coupled with the youngest person ever to win the masters. Could this all change on Sunday?
Oakley will be one of the largest eyewear brands sponsoring the players at the Masters along with the likes of Nike and Adidas Sunglasses. The bright sunlight can be a big test when staring down the fairway trying to place your ball within a ten foot piece of grass and that’s why golfing eyewear is taken very seriously. Bubba Watson will surely be snapped in some Oakley Sunglasses this year as has Guan Tianlang on Monday’s practice round. He was sporting the Oakley Flak Jacket Sunglasses with a polarised grey lens, perfect for the bright light reflecting off the sand.

Grab your self some golfing sunglasses and get out there, who knows, one day you could be playing alongside Tiger and co.

Sneak-a-Peek | New Women’s Oakley Sunglasses – May 2013

With the Summer months just around the corner, Oakley Sunglasses are preparing to launch some beautiful new colours in their ladies’ collection! The new range features gorgeous new designs in the Oakley Forehand Sunglasses, the Oakley Miss Conduct Squared Sunglasses, the Oakley Twentysix 2 Sunglasses and the Oakley Commit Squared Sunglasses. In this blog we are going to look at all of the pairs in the new range and find out why they are causing a stir in the industry ready for the May release!
The Oakley Forehand Sunglasses are the embodiment of feminine style and finesse with striking lines and curves designed to accentuate the natural features of a ladies’ face. The new May 2013 releases in the Oakley Forehand Collection feature brand new colours and the two-tone frames are the perfect natural evolution of the frame itself. Colours such as Neon Yellow, Neon Orange, Sunflower and Brilliant Blue are taking centre stage and are guaranteed to lighten up any outfit on the upcoming (hopefully) sunny days!
Next up we have the Oakley Miss Conduct Squared Sunglasses, a fantastic women’s sports performance sunglass made from Oakley’s patented O Matter frame material. The frames are super lightweight and feature unobtanium earsocks which grip to your head when you get sweaty, rather than slipping off during exercise. Oakley’s new colours in the Miss Conduct Squared ensure that you will stand out whatever you decide to use them for with Pink Lava and Orange Flare drawing ladies’ to them from around the world.
The Oakley Twentysix 2 Sunglasses is for all you classic aviator fans out there. Oakley have created an aviator style sunglass which is specifically designed for ladies and you can see that they have really gone to town on the design and colour schemes. The Oakley Twenty Six 2 sunglasses have embraced the stone cold cool of the iconic design and taken it to the next level. Plutonite lenses have unrivalled optics and the Oakley HDO technology creates perfect vision right up to the edge of the lenses. Oakley’s newest colours include the interestingly named ‘G-Money’ which is bound to be a massive hitter with anyone looking for something a bit different this summer!
Finally, we come to the new Oakley Commit Squared Sunglasses; although the frame itself has been around for a while, women have been crying out for a sleek colour scheme with Polarised lenses. The new set has a Polished Black frame with OO Grey Polarised lenses which will cut out glare reflected off any horizontal surface making these sunglasses perfect for running, cycling or even driving. Even a small amount of glare reflecting off a wet or shiny surface can cause you to be blinded for enough time for you to crash your car or bike meaning that we would always recommend a Polarised lens.

Sneak-a-Peek: Oakley Jupiter Carbon Sunglasses
The Oakley Jupiter Carbon Sunglasses are one of the newest releases to come out of Oakley Sunglasses HQ and they may look a little familiar…but don’t let that fool you! Those of you who remember the Oakley Jupiter Factory Lite Sunglasses will be able to draw this comparison, however they are very different indeed; from the material that they are made of, right through to subtleties in design. First of all, lets discuss the similarities; they both have an almost identical shape and profile on your face, patented Plutonite lenses which are 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protective and both of their lenses feature Oakley’s HD and XYZ Optics which completely cut out refraction of light and therefore the optical clarity is second to none! Oakley have over 600 patents to protect this technology so you can be sure that you won’t find this kind of innovation elsewhere.
As with the Oakley Jupiter Factory Lite Sunglasses, the Oakley Jupiter Carbon Sunglasses feature lightweight carbon fibre arms which are attached with mono-shock hinges for a truly comfortable wear and the ‘three-point fit’ technology ensures that they will fit the vast majority of head sizes and shapes. Where the two frames differ is the actual frame itself; where the Factory Lites had a precision engineered aluminium centre frame, the Oakley Jupiter Carbon Sunglasses have an O Matter centre frame. O Matter is Oakley’s patented polycarbonate compound which is incredibly flexible and durable and is impact resistant to the same level as industrial strength eyewear!
Although these amazing frames are not going to be available until the summer, you can register your interest on our site and we will let you know when they arrive. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for daily updates and news…

New Oakley Ducati Collection Sunglasses
Oakley Sunglasses originally devised the idea of a Ducati Collection when they realised that as a company, Ducati shared the same aggressive innovation and uncompromising ideals of excellence; both traits that have filtered through into today’s newest sunglasses. Two new models have been released into the Ducati Collection, the Oakley Ducati Garage Rock Sunglasses and the Oakley Ducati Crosshair (2012) Sunglasses. These two frames couldn’t be more different, but yet they contain the very same technology and design innovations that excel them head and shoulders above even their closest competitors.
The Oakley Ducati Garage Rock Sunglasses are undeniably part of the Ducati range with sleek Polish Black frames and striking Red temple designs, all surrounding Oakley’s technically excellent Grey Polarised Plutonite Lenses! Made from O Matter, these frames are impact resistant to the same standards as industrial strength eyewear and will ensure that your eyes stay safe and sound at all times. O Matter is Oakley’s patented polycarbonate compound which is flexible and lightweight yet incredibly durable and comfortable for all day usage. The ‘Three-Point-Fit’ technology included with the Oakley Ducati Garage Rock Sunglasses is immense and means that they will only contact your face in three areas; above your ears and on your nose ensuring that they fit the vast majority of head sizes and shapes!
The Oakley Ducati Crosshair (2012) Sunglasses may be completely different in appearance, however Oakley still manage to pack a whole plethora of design and technical innovations into these beautiful frames. Made from Oakley’s C-5 Metal Alloy compound, they are almost as light as O Matter and the cushioned nosepieces mean that they will not dig into your face whatever you are using them for. Unobtanium earsocks are included as standard and this patented hydrophilic rubber compound will actually stick to your head when you sweat, keeping them in place all day, every day! As with the Garage Rocks, the Oakley Ducati Crosshair (2012) Sunglasses feature Plutonite lenses which are 100% optically correct, utilising Oakley’s HD and XYZ Optics technology.
As you can see, Oakley’s fervour and passion for perfection is a great match for Ducati and now you too can get your hands on one of these amazing frames! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for daily updates, news and views…

Sneak-a-Peek: Oakley Craftsman Collection Mini Blog
Oakley Frogskins Sunglasses have to be one of the most popular frames to ever be released and when they first came out back in the 1980’s, I don’t think anyone had a clue what they would grow into. With new colours and styles being released on an almost monthly basis, the Oakley Frogskins are now a far cry from the originals and the new range; the Oakley Craftsman Frogskins are another fantastic release from Oakley’s Foothills Ranch. Although we have very limited information on them as of yet, we do have brilliant images and a description of what you should expect once they hit the shelves at some point this year!
Now I know what you’re thinking; they look like they have been worn since the 1980’s, however it is this vintage, almost rustic look that Oakley have been trying to achieve and I think that we can all agree that they have done this beautifully. But I think the cherry on top of the Craftsman cake has to be that they are running this collection in three styles; the Oakley Frogskins Sunglasses, the Oakley Holbrook Sunglasses and their new style the Oakley Garage Rock Sunglasses. These images have already taken the sunglass world by storm, so as soon as they are available I’d get one ordered ASAP.
As soon as we have any further information on these, we will let you know immediately but in the meantime why not follow us on Facebook and Twitter for daily updates.
