Nixon in the spotlight
Nixon is submerged entirely within the hip US extreme sports culture – to such an extent that it fields it’s own Nixon Teams in all major board sporting events (surf/skate/snowboard).
In addition to being embroiled in skate culture, Nixon positively courts rockstars, sportsmen and celebrities, many whom have worked in collaboration with the company to design one-of-a-kind watches inspired by their own unique artwork. 
Known as the Nixon LTD Collection, this enterprise is in its fifth successful year. Past contributors include Tony Hawk, Anthony Kiedis and Jennifer Lopez. The most recent celebrity intake for the 2008 collection boasted stars like Hero’s Milo Ventimigila, Jack Black and Ringo Starr.
The lack of high quality performance watches on the market led to the creation of Nixon Watches – the company decided to plug the gap with watches that growled attitude and could deliver the ‘whole package’. And they certainly stayed true to their word, the collections are always innovative, fresh and of the highest quality. Words like ‘electric shock’, ‘futuristic’, ‘geometric’, ‘synergy’ and ‘bold’ are bandied around to describe the current collection. Nixon are most commonly renowned within the sports industry and their timepieces have steadily made an impact on the watch scene over the last decade. Nixon watches originated in California in 1997 as a boutique watch manufacturer making specialist watches for the youth and fashion market and wanted to create something a little different by catering to all styles and tastes.

Of course, Nixon are primarily geared towards surfing and sport and so have many celebrities in this field such as Casey Brown and Mike Gleason who are all fans of the brand. Johnny Depp was also recently spotted wearing a Nixon watch. These watches all have a sporty yet stylish edge and have that element of knowing you are wearing something ultra cool!
