The Guess Autumn 2010 campaign was shot by celebrity photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, who was responsible for Guess’s seductive, girl next door pictures when the label was at it’s height in the Eighties. Ellen is known for her very sexy style of photography and over the years both the label and photographer have had great success working together… The current campaign is a nod towards a massive trend this A/W 2010 – the Fifties. Pretty and delicate the ‘Petite Autograph’ Guess watch is very chic. Guess Watches Launch ‘Time To Give’ Watch to Raise Funds for Maison Chance
The Guess brand has always been renowned for its contribution towards helping charitable causes and raising money for those in need and less fortunate. The latest news on this front is that Guess along with Sequel AG, the exclusive worldwide distributor of Guess Watches, are raising money for ‘Maison Chance’, a project dedicated to building a new school in Vietnam for disabled and disadvantaged children. They are doing this via the launch of a new fundraising campaign ‘Faces to Watch – Time to Give’ which has involved the addition of a sleek and striking new ladies watch called ‘Time To Give’.
A little information on the charity itself – the ‘Maison Chance’ project which means ‘House of Luck’ and part of the Village Chance project was founded by Swiss resident Tim Aline Rebeaud who has spent the last 15 years building and running Maison Chance in Vietnam. The scheme provides educational and vocational training to 200 children and 70 handicapped people, as well as residence and care for 60 people with serious disabilities.

ltimately aims to provide a fully integrated school, rehabilitation centre and community health centre for children living on the street and also for the handicapped.
In order to raise funds for the Maison Chance, Guess has launched an incredible and limited edition ‘Time To Give’ ladies watch. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this watch will go directly to help fund the Maison Chance project.

Back in June 2009, Guess presented at the Fashion Piper Jaffray Annual Consumer Conference in New York which featured a panel comprised of teenagers. These teens were students who throughout the conference discussed a 
range of topics relating to the teen market including the latest trends in electronics, food, clothing and accessories. Using this first hand insight from their target consumer, Guess can then take any feedback, suggestions, needs and wants and incorporate this into their future designs. Listening to what your potential customers want from your band is essential in creating the right products and conferences such as this allow brands such as Guess to get their product and marketing strategies accurate and help them to design what customers really want.

Guess Watches: Guess Gives Something Back

Very recently, Caroline and Olivia Marciano who are the teenage daughters of the owner of Guess Maurice Marciano saw a feature on the Oprah show about how Invisible Children supporters all around the world camped out for days until rescued by local media and powerful figures in order to raise awareness of the war in Uganda and to emphasise how children can go unseen for weeks leading to disastrous consequences. Marciano’s daughters persuaded their father to use Guess to help the cause and the end result was a unique line of Guess t-shirts and tanks for men and women, and 100 percent of the proceeds went to the Invisible Children organisation. The two girls led the project themselves and have done a superb job of spreading the word. Celebrities such as Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell have been spotted sporting the charity t-shirt.

This is a men’s watch but would also look very cool and funky on girls.
