Superdry is a unique and funky clothing and accessories brand which was founded 2003. What makes Superdry different to other brands is its eclectic fusion of all American style with a strong touch of Japanese fashion influences which is mainly conveyed with the use of graphic prints which you will see featured on the clothing and accessories. It was following a trip to Tokyo that the founders of Superdry actually decided to launch the brand as they were so inspired by the dynamic Japanese style and trends and thought it would merge well with an American/European foundation. American style is great but you have to inject something a little more globally relevant and interesting to separate your brand from the hundreds of others in the industry.
What people like about Superdry is that it gives you a sense of wearing something unique. The brand prides itself on maintaining a limited edition feel to its clothing and accessories and is constantly updating its collections.
Superdry is mainly noted for its funky range of t-shirts, hoodies and bags which typically feature a retro style with graphic designed images. The Osaka t-shirts are particulary popular and come in an array of funky colours. David Beckham was also pictured wearing an Osa
ka Superdry t-shirt which certainly helped to put the brand on the map and give it a cool, trendy and masculine image. Ultimately Superdry aims to give people the ability to express their personality in their style and stand out from the crowd.
Superdry have extended their lines and collections and with a large store in Covent Garden in London as well as a number of concession stores, the brand is certainly obtaining a great reputation and is popular among the fash pack and celebrities.
Superdry watches maintain the same theme as the clothing; they keep up with current style trends but inject a Japanese inspired enhancement to the look. A brand new style to look out for is the Superdry Sport collection. These come in an array of vibrant colours including blue, orange, white, hot pink and green and as the name suggests, have a sporty aesthetic. With a simple design including a plastic strap, the main focus of these watches is in the bold colour and the Superdry logo on the dial and strap which also includes the Japanese lettering translation. The Lumber is also a
hot new Superdry style and comes in a version for men and women – the Lumber Girl (designed for a smaller wrist). Capturing key watch trends such as a wide strap and large dial, the lumberjack style checks are also featured on the strap whether this is the whole strap or just the reverse side. Checked patterns are a common design on many other Superdry products including men and women’s shirts. The new Brad watch takes inspiration from a well known A List celebrity and the female equivalent of this watch is named Angelina –this is a great example of how Superdry is a fun brand and likes to play around with names and inspirations! With a wide durable soft leather strap and a dial with two separate time movements, this is definitely a unique and striking watch to look out for. There are also cool female watches such as the new Coins Superdry watch. Incredibly distinctive and designed in a charm bracelet style, the charms are coins and the dial is integrated into one of the charms. This style has an urban and funky edge and adds an extra flavour to a piece of jewellery which is typically ‘girly’.
Superdry is definitely the hot label of the moment but has a timeless style that will be prominent for years to come. When you find a label that has its own unique style, people will stick to it as they feel it is a way of expressing their individuality as opposed to going for the clone look! Jude Law and Kate Moss are fans of the brand and both celebrities are renowned for their unique sense of style and reluctance to follow trends but prefer to set them. Superdry watches are made using the finest materials and at prices between £40 and £135 there is a style to suit all budgets.
Tags:The iconic Police brand was launched in Italy in 1983 and has fast become an incredibly popular brand name across the world. Throughout the stages of the extensive brand timeline, as the popularity of Police has grown, it has launched further products accordingly and Police is now famous for its stylish and sophisticated range of sunglasses, fragrances, clothing, watches and accessories. Police was one of the first brands to make sunglasses a fashion statement, particularly during the 1980’s and it was their range of sunglasses that really put the brand on the map. Police watches were launched in 2003 and were representative of that same unique and innovative design geared towards individuals with a strong sense of their own style and didn’t conform to fashion and trends simply because something happens to be in fashion.
Police is synonymous with a confident and charismatic personality and has chosen a range of iconic actors, personalities and sportsman as representatives and ambassadors of the Police brand, all of whom have been photographed in stunning advertising campaigns wearing Police products. Between 1999 and 2000, Paolo Maldini, Bruce Willis, George Clooney and Antonio Banderas all lent their faces to Police. In recent years, David Beckham has been the male icon associated with Police. All of these men are recognised on a worldwide level and truly convey what the brand repres
ents. They also of course portray a glamorous and masculine image and the pictures of George Clooney were primarily designed to capture the hearts of female fans and really brought his own individual style to the Police brand. Police has also recently announced that it will be sponsoring Italian 21 year old Formula 2 driver Edoardo Piscopo who is tipped to be a rising star in the motor racing industry and again, renowned for his handsome good looks.
Earlier this year, Police decided to become even closer to the consumer by launching a competition entitled ‘ BE YOUNIQUE’ whereby they were seeking a fresh new face to step into the shoes of the renowned past ambassadors and become the new face of Police. Wanting to find someone unique and unknown was the key as the brand wanted to transform young and ‘normal’ men and women with regular occupations and transform them into the new face of Police which the avera
ge public can identify with. That said, the brand of course was looking for someone very special who could successfully portray the desired image. The competition was hugely popular and the winner was announced earlier this month and Andrea Garbolino from Settimo Torinese will now be the new face of Police. Garbolino was chosen for his metropolitan style and vibrant personality which is incredibly typical of the Police brand. He will take part in a photo shoot in October which is set to launch as part of the brand’s 2010 international campaign.
Police watches are designed for men and women who favour a sleek and sophisticated style that comes from within their personality as opposed to simply what they wear. Police believes that your clothing and accessories should enhance your character and style and not define it. If you wear a Police watch, you are confident with your own dynamic style and your unique accessories reflect this. Many Police watches have a chunky aesthetic and feature stainless steel bands and striking dials with dual functions. Some also have black leather straps or black coated stainless steel which makes for an urban on-the-go look that easily takes you from day to night. Police wearers are seen to be always on the go the range of watches are casual enough for daywear yet would still spruce up an evening outfit. Italian style is very adaptable and the design of Police watches is very much of the same tone.
Some new Police watch styles to look out for include the Ambassador which is a classic and sophisticated men’s watch with a typical Police polished appeal and great for day-to-night. With a slim multi-strand strap and sleek black face, this watch has a timeless appeal and adds an element of class to your look. For something a little bolder, the Kerosine has a carbon coated black finish and a striking large electro plated dial which is the predominant feature and makes for the perfect statement watch. The Vantage Police watch is a unisex style and captures the chunky watch trend with a white finish and bold yet simply styled dial.
There is a fantastic selection of new Police watch styles to choose from, some more understated than others but all retaining that essence of unrivalled class, style and sophistication that is unique to the Police brand.

A big happy, toothy white grin in a tanned face on the body of a diminutive, distinguished, older man.
Designers often use high profile figures in their advertising campaigns and Armani is no stranger to this ploy. As a friend of the Beckhams and inspired by their good looks and global influence, Armani has used the couple in his current underwear campaign to great effect. Both Victoria and David are known across the world for their amazing bodies and love of fashion and Armani’s campaign has them posing seductively together and separately in beautifully designed underwear.
As well as sporting masses of Armani on the red carpet, celebrities are often seen out and about in stylish Armani sunglasses. Current favourites include model ‘9426/S’ which Lauren Conrad from The Hills wears, Russell Crowe was spotted at the premiere for his latest film ‘State of Play’ wearing Armani’s GA 567/S Aviators and wraparound model ‘9436’ is worn frequently by Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Kidman.
Armani sunglasses are both stylish and chic. With a vast range to choose from, Shade Station has the freshest and most current styles to suit your face shape and help you emulate your favourite celebrity!

Prior to these incredibly successful marketing campaigns, Police was little known outside of Italy. However their ‘Poster Boys’ introduced men and women across the world to the Police way of accessorising. Police are arguably best known for their sunglasses and watches and neither line disappoint. Both are incredibly cool, stylish and contemporary.
Playing upon their brand name, the Police range of watches have suitably apt and involving names. Men’s models named ‘Patrol’, ‘Alert‘, ‘Rogue’, ‘Outlaw’ and ‘Trooper’, give a sense of masculinity and excitement to the meaty wristwear.
Police wristwear is designed for independent trendy men and women who enjoy standing out from the crowd and consciously avoid conformity. All pieces are built for action but are enveloped in a good looking, very tasteful exterior. The men’s range is entirely analogue and the straps are produced largely in leather or stainless steel. Throughout the collection, the watch faces are chunky and suitably muscly. Although there is less choice, the Women’s Police collection is highly covetable. Enjoying slimmer silhouettes and fresher colours, Police watches for women are a great choice for an active female who refuses to compromise on style.
