Outstanding Oakley Announces New Releases
We know how much you guys like our sneak previews, and luckily we have another one for you today with a cheeky glimpse at the new Oakley Sunglasses due for release in April! A whole plethora of brand new styles and colours are sure to dominate in the lead up to the summer months including; Oakley Style Switch Sunglasses, Oakley Pit Boss II Sunglasses, Oakley Two Face Sunglasses, New Moto GP Signature Oakley Sunglasses and a Tour de France Signature range. In this blog we are going to take a quick look at each of the new models and ranges and give you guys an inside look at these fantastic new Oakley Sunglasses!
Firstly let’s talk about the Oakley Style Switch Sunglasses, a new model which combines Oakley’s amazing Switchlock technology with a lifestyle frame; something completely unprecedented in the sunglass world. The frames are made from patented O Matter material which is lightweight and incredibly comfortable lending the Style Switch to easy everyday usage. Oakley’s inclusion of Switchlock means that you can switch your lenses any time, any where to suit the weather or your mood; something previously reserved for high-end sports performance eyewear. A range of replacement lenses are going to be available with the Oakley Style Switch Sunglasses meaning that these are going to allow for a truly customisable look on a conservative budget.
Next up is the Oakley Pit Boss II Sunglasses, the successor to the much loved Oakley Pit Boss Sunglasses, they have big shoes to fill however looking at the specifications, they have nailed it! Made from a combination of Titanium and O Matter, the Oakley Pit Boss II Sunglasses are incredibly strong and durable whilst staying lightweight and comfortable should you wish to use them all day, every day. The lenses are made from Oakley’s patented Plutonite polycarbonate compound which is impact tested to the same level as industrial strength eyewear keeping your eyes safe and sound at all times. Not only safe, the Plutonite lenses contain Oakley’s HD Optics (HDO) and XYZ Optics which correct any refraction of light as it passes through the lens, meaning that the lenses are 100% optically correct – a trait that cannot be emulated by even the best of brands.
The new Oakley Two Face Sunglasses are a masterpiece in lifestyle eyewear, combining O Matter frame material and C-5 Metal Alloy to create a truly refined and masculine look for all ages. This unique style is something that has seldom been done before and is the embodiment of Oakley’s lifestyle range. It’s ‘Three-Point-Fit’ system means that it will only contact your face in three areas; above your ears and on your nose meaning that this amazing set of sunglasses will fit the vast majority of head sizes and shapes too. If all of this technology was not enough for you, Oakley have included Plutonite lenses in the frames for unrivalled optical clarity right up to the edge of your peripheral vision!
Another amazing new range is the new Oakley Moto GP Signature Sunglasses containing an Oakley MotoGP Deviation Sunglasses and Oakley MotoGP Garage Rock Sunglasses; this time with a couple of beautiful lens colours for a breath of fresh air in the MotoGP collection. Although fairly different in appearance, these two pairs offer very much the same protection with lightweight frames, ‘Three-Point-Fit’ technology and Plutonite lenses to boot! If you’re into your MotoGP, these are definitely the sunglasses for you.
Finally we have the Oakley Tour de France Sunglasses Collection containing Oakley TDF Half Jacket 2.0 XLJ Sunglasses and Oakley TDF Radarlock Path Sunglasses; both amazing sports performance frames with very different personalities and qualities. With the return of the Tour de France and how well it is being received nowadays, it was a little bit of a no-brainer for Oakley to release a TDF range and they offer the best eyewear technology available to purchase today. Welcome to the latest edition of ReviewStation, our in depth look at the new 2013 Oakley Sunglasses releases. In this blog we are going to inspect the Oakley Given Sunglasses; another fantastic women’s piece to come out of the foothills ranch this season. The Oakley Given Sunglasses are undoubtedly some of the best looking sunglasses to come from Oakley’s ladies range in the past few years and utilising the classic teardrop or ‘Aviator’ lens shape, they are set to be very popular this year. Lets start by taking a look at the frame; made from Oakley’s C-5 Metal Alloy compound they are strong and durable for everyday use whilst being light and comfortable to wear. This is all thanks to Oakley’s patented ‘three-point fit’ system which ensures the sunglasses will only contact your face in three areas; above your ears and on your nose. Not only will this provide the user will hour round comfort, but will allow them to fit the vast majority of head shapes and sizes. Oakley are aware that fashion is very important to most women and therefore they have designed the frames in a variety of colour combinations so that there is something for everyone.
Lenses are incredibly important when it comes to sunglasses, not only are they there to avoid your eyes from straining, but they are also there to protect them from the sun. Oakley lenses have to be some of the best in the world and this is all down to their amazing Plutonite lens material; injected into moulds at high temperatures, the plutonite is tapered out towards the edge meaning that no light is ever going to distort coming through the lenses. This kind of clarity is called HD Optics and in combination with XYZ Optics (technology behind cutting out distortion) you will have lenses which are 100% optically correct. Oakley’s plutonite lenses are also completely UVA, UVB and UVC protective so that your eyes will be safe and sound at all times what ever you are planning to do in your sunglasses!

In this blog we are going to take a closer look at the Oakley Plaintiff Squared Sunglasses, a new 2013 release from Oakley which combines a classic stalwart sunglass with new cutting edge design. What appears to be a hybrid between Oakley Plaintiff Sunglasses and their squared off masterpiece, the Oakley Deviation Sunglasses, the Plaintiff Squared has already created a stir in the industry with people vying for as much information as possible. Luckily you have come to the right place! Let’s start by breaking the frame down piece by piece. The frame itself is made from Oakley’s C-5 Metal Alloy compound, a lightweight material which will sit comfortably on your face all day and the cushioned nose pieces are adjustable for added stability. All of this frame technology is undoubtedly amazing, however Oakley’s ‘pièce de résistance’ has to be their lenses. Made from Oakley’s patented polycarbonate compound Plutonite, these lenses are simply unrivaled in the sunglass world. Unlike the vast majority of other lenses, Plutonite itself is 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protective which means that even if they are scratched, dropped or chipped the lenses will still completely protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays. If you like your Oakley Sunglasses then I’m sure you will have heard the term ‘HDO’ before; this stands for HD Optics which Oakley use in their lenses to provide complete clarity of vision right up to the periphery of your sight. This term encompasses Oakley’s (also patented) XYZ Optics, an amazing innovation which tapers each lens from the middle out to the edges of the sunglass and will correct any refraction of light as it passes through the lens. Anyone who has ever bought cheaper sunglasses will be well aware of those annoying sunglass headaches you get after a prolonged period of wearing them, and it is the XYZ optics that completely cuts these out!

Oakley Does it Again with the Incredible New Sunglasses for Spring
Oakley never fails to seriously impress us with its new sunglasses releases and now we have 5 more incredible designs to add to the list, all of which are due this spring.
All sunglasses for men, the new Oakley designs to look out for include the Radarlock sunglasses, Crankcase sunglasses, Half Jacket 2.0 sunglasses, Racing Jacket sunglasses and the Deviation sunglasses.
The Oakley Deviation sunglasses boast the cool vintage aviator look but with the modern attitude and aesthetic twists that Oakley has become renowned for. Made of the lightweight C-5 metal alloy, the Deviation sunglasses feature a 6 base lens curvature for maximum vision and comfort and to also accentuate the vintage look of the design. The iconic Oakley logo is displayed upon the 
bridge section.
Next up we have the Oakley Racing Jacket sunglasses, which definitely take the modern Oakley style to the next level! Oozing with adrenalin, this fierce design features Oakley’s patented XYZ Optics for the ultimate in peripheral vision, as well as ram-air surge ports to provide defogging ventilation.
