Bering Watches at Shade Station

Bering Watches are the absolute pinnacle of vision inspired products, with the brand being spawned from the creator’s amazing adventure to the arctic! Danish businessman Rene Kaerskov jumped out of a helicopter directly over the North Pole in 2008 and this experience inspired him to begin the process of creating a range of watches that combines clean Danish design with technical excellence.

Overwhelmed by the incredible backdrop, he also captivated his business partners back home in Denmark with his descriptions of the exquisite splendour of the Arctic landscape. Upon Rene’s return, a discussion about the name of the brand was finally concluded with the simple, yet effective; Bering Watches. Taken from the name of Vitus Bering, the first European to discover Alaska, it symbolises the inherent accuracy of a time zone itself…Bering Time.

Bering Watches are a testament to design quality, with a lot of their watches being moulded in highly coveted Ceramic. A highly demanding and time consuming manufacturing process makes High-Tech-Ceramic so valuable: firstly, fine ceramic powder is pressed into a mould. The material then obtains its extreme density and toughness as it is heated in a furnace to 1600°C. After cooling, the material is sanded, shaped and polished, and is now so hard that only a real diamond can finish it. The case material is made from ultra light titanium, a very impressive material which is is not only anti-allergenic, eye catching and stylish, but above all it is light as a feather. This will ensure the highest comfort, as you may even forget that you are wearing the watch altogether! The flat design and sleek appearance of all Bering watches unite harmoniously to create a range of watches suited for all ages and preferences.
