The designer brand Fendi was founded in a small town called del Plebiscitom in Italy by a newly married couple called Edoardo and Adele Fendi.

Italian women were particularly fond of the exquisite style that Fendi had developed and it soon became the highly fashionable and stylish brand to be seen in.

1966 marked a significant step for Fendi as this was the year that the brand released its first couture line which was designed by the iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld who is now the Creative Director of Chanel. Nixon is an exceptionally cool brand that is highly prominent in the creative scenes ranging from music and art through to skating and extreme sports. Nixon is always being spotted out and about at industry events and has recently showcased its new collection of watches for 2010 at Baselworld in Switzerland which is the world’s leading international watch tradeshow. Nixon was excited to debut the new collection as well as some existing Nixon classics so I’m sure we have lots of new styles to look out for during 2010!
In other Nixon news, a Nixon watch favourite; the Time Teller P was selected by a prestigious design jury as the best watch of 2010. The watch was chosen as the best watch by the 2010 Travel+Leisure Awards because of its variety of 
cool colours and polyurethane materialisation and has also been described as a great watch to travel with due to its innovative design and durability. Indeed, the Time Teller P is definitely a cool watch and in a choice of vibrant and trendy colours including blue, pink and purple, it is simple yet striking and is the perfect accessory to jazz up your look.
The collection of Nixon watches are incredibly varied in terms of both style and price. 70’s Influenced Tom Ford Sunglasses
Although Tom Ford’s directorial debut ‘A Single Man’ narrowly missed out of an Oscar this year for it’s leading man, Ford was still a winner in the fashion stakes. Dressing both the Oscar hosts, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, he also created a one off tuxedo for Colin Firth with ‘For Colin Firth’ stitched inside the jacket.
Actors like Brad Pitt, are well known to be fans of Tom Ford’s stylish clothes label and although Ford hasn’t yet produced a fashion line for women, he designs sunglasses for both sexes. The current Tom Ford sunglasses campaign shot by the man himself, sees ‘About a Boy’ actor and current Tom Ford muse, Nicholas Hoult, looking suave working the camera with honey blonde model Carolyn Murphy. Michael Kors is an American power house. Not only is he a lux designer of great note, he has a starring role in TV’s Project Runway and is the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America (that’s the fashion Oscars to you and me!) Guess Watches Launch ‘Time To Give’ Watch to Raise Funds for Maison Chance
The Guess brand has always been renowned for its contribution towards helping charitable causes and raising money for those in need and less fortunate. The latest news on this front is that Guess along with Sequel AG, the exclusive worldwide distributor of Guess Watches, are raising money for ‘Maison Chance’, a project dedicated to building a new school in Vietnam for disabled and disadvantaged children. They are doing this via the launch of a new fundraising campaign ‘Faces to Watch – Time to Give’ which has involved the addition of a sleek and striking new ladies watch called ‘Time To Give’.
A little information on the charity itself – the ‘Maison Chance’ project which means ‘House of Luck’ and part of the Village Chance project was founded by Swiss resident Tim Aline Rebeaud who has spent the last 15 years building and running Maison Chance in Vietnam. The scheme provides educational and vocational training to 200 children and 70 handicapped people, as well as residence and care for 60 people with serious disabilities.
