I admit it; I am a huge geek when it comes to new shiny technology and a combination of that and fashion is a winning combination in my book. So when I learnt that Donna Karen, founder of DKNY has launched an iPhone application (or app as they are more commonly referred to), this certainly got my attention.
DKNY prides itself on conveying a true sense of New York within its collections and as this is a city at the forefront of design and technology, this new app aims to get the label closer to its target audience; technology savvy individuals who are likely to use phone applications as a way of getting instant access to their favourite brands. The app will provide its users with regular updates of what Donna Karen is getting up to, new collections, her personal thoughts and passions and more about portraying DKNY as a lifestyle brand that users can relate to and feel closer to and move beyond specifically the fashion element of the label.
The new iPhone app has ultimately been designed as a way of using technology to interact with the customer in the same way as the designer does in the dressing room. It may not be as personal but it is instant and convenient.

The super cool, stylish and sexy brand Guess was founded back in the early 1980’s by the French Marciano brothers who favoured an exquisite yet fun and flirty style. First famous for its range of jeans which sold off the shelves in almost record time, the brand soon became hugely popular around the world. What is loved about Guess is that it represents all American style with European appeal.

I absolutely adore anything girly, sparkly or pink so Guess is a personal favourite of mine as it is completely in tune with my style. Fear not though as if you are perhaps prefer something edgy or funky and bling isn’t your thing then there are some gorgeous styles such as the new Altitude watch which perhaps appeals to a more urban sense of fashion. This is a men’s watch but would also look very cool and funky on girls.
Guess is definitely a fashion forward brand (just take a look at the sleek and sexy advertising campaigns) and the range of watches is extremely diverse but each model is still very much in keeping with the brand’s themes and values. Guess likes to really get inside the mind of the potential wearer and recognises that providing various styles for different preferences and personalities is absolutely essential.
