He is a very well known American fashion designer and is partly the reason why fashion is took so seriously. Marc Jacob started his career by working as a stockboy at Charivari at a clothing boutique. From there, He then went on to attend High school art and design and graduated in 1981. Marc Jacob then enrolled at Parson School of design. Due to his success, he was the youngest fashion designer to be awarded "The council of fashion designers of America." Marc Jacobs's first label was launched in 1987 and then went on to produce his first full women's collection in 1994. In recent years, Marc Jacobs brand has continued to expand as the number of boutiques and services locations has doubled.

Currently Marc Jacob is the creative director of French design house Louis Vuittion.
