Madonna has always been a huge fan of the Italian Dolce & Gabbana brand and maintains a firm friendship with the two designers behind the label, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana who admire the iconic singer and actress due to her sophisticated but unique sense of style and her vibrant and ambitious personality. The design duo designed the costumes for the star’s Girlie Show Tour in 1993 and Madonna has also featured in a number of Dolce & Gabbana advertising campaigns in addition to having pieces designed using her as the main inspiration. Dolce & Gabbana and Madonna have now taken their fashion relationship to the next level by collaborating on a new sunglasses collection called MDG with Madonna taking an active role in the design process and contributing significant creative input into the shape of the frames and the design of the logo. The collection comprises of a six piece range of different styles and Madonna will also be the face of the MDG advertising campaign which will show her modelling the sunglasses. The six pairs of MDG sunglasses are sleek, striking and sophisticated; perfectly depicting the essence of Madonna’s style and typical of the overall look of the Dolce & Gabbana brand. The sunglasses comprise of classic oversized and wraparound designs and all feature the MDG logo on the arm, with the ‘M’ on each pair, embellished in beautiful diamante stones. The perfect way to add a touch of the pop diva’s chic and sophisticated love of the Dolce & Gabbana style into your everyday look!
